Volunteer with Pro Science

Are you a 2nd or 3rd science undergraduate
looking for something fun, challenging and rewarding to do that will be totally different from your studies?
Might you enjoy an opportunity to share your knowledge and enthusiasm  with younger science students? Are you interested in making yourself stand out from the crowd, in the eyes of employers?

If so, Pro Science may be the ideal opportunity for you.  Open the informational leaflet below  to find out what you'd do as a member of Pro Science and how you could get involved this year.

VOlunteer this year

What do we look for?

Picture
We don't expect you to have lots of teaching experience (although sometimes this can prove very useful), but we absolutely do expect, from the word go:
  • Commitment and reliability
  • Initiative and a self-starting attitude
  • Great people skills and team-working
  • Strong communication skills

Some placements will be more challenging than others and we are particularly looking for those of you who are keen to really challenge yourselves.  Working with some classes and specific pupils will require a lot of patience and resilience at times.  We want to work with confident individuals, who will strive to gain the respect of their pupils and who will act as positive role-models for them.
